All Early Ed parents are invited to this event! We will provide the information you need to know to make this a successful year at Cornerstone. This event is only for parents.
Families will need to sign up for a 30-minute time slot (the sign-up genius will go out on Friday, August 8th. During their selected time slot, families will drop off all school supplies. Early Ed - 1st grade students will place all school supplies (bulk and individual items) on desks in classrooms. Students entering 2nd-12th grade will put all personal school supplies in their assigned locker, drop off bulk items in their first hour class, and will be allowed to decorate their lockers during this time. 6th-12th grade students will pick up textbooks from the Forum Room.
Back-to-School Night is an opportunity to worship together and share the vision for the school year. Please remember that no supplies or paperwork should be brought to this event.
We are looking forward to having all of our families together to kick off a new school year!
Immediately following our Back-to-School Night on Monday, August 18th, all high school students are invited to the Backyard Bash. This student-led event will include refreshments, lawn games, worship and loads of fun! (7-8:30 pm)
6th Grade Scoop is a special night for 6th graders and their parents only! Parents and students will meet in the Forum Room with Mrs. Wilson from 7:00 -8:00 PM and get the “scoop” on what 6th grade is all about. We will also enjoy some ice cream together. This evening will get you and your 6th grader off to a great start in Upper School!
Curriculum Night is a parents-only event. We want to give parents the opportunity to spend some time with their child’s teachers and learn what to expect for the coming school year. To accommodate parents who have children in multiple grades, the evening has been split into two time slots.
Parents of students in grades K-5 should plan to come from 6:00-6:25 or 6:30-6:55. Go directly to your child’s classroom at the start of one of these times to meet with your child’s teacher and hear about the year ahead. The same material will be covered during both times, so it is only necessary to choose one time per student.
Parents of students in grades 6-12 should plan to come at 6:30. Parents will be given a copy of their child’s schedule and will participate in a “mini version” of their day. With 10-minute periods, the “mini day” will end around 8:00.
Please remember that this event is for parents only. No students or younger siblings should be brought to this event.
“Sing to God, sing in praise of his name, extol him who rides on the clouds; rejoice before him—his name is the LORD. A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.”Psalm 68:4-5
