Homecoming Week

The dance may only be for high school students, but Homecoming week is for EVERYONE! ALL Students are encouraged, but not required, to participate in the following dress-up days during Homecoming week:

¨ Monday (10/2) Movie Star/ Character—dress up as your favorite movie star or character.

¨ Tuesday (10/3) Woke up Like This – bad hair, p.j.s, whatever. No need to spend a lot of time getting ready for school this day!

¨ Wednesday (10/4) Class Color Day—Go all out as each “color” competes to show the most spirit! See class color assignments below.

¨ Thursday (10/5) Senior Day– If you are a member of the senior class, wear your intended college or vocational choice t-shirt.  If you are not a senior, dress up as a “senior citizen.”  Go bold when you go old! No walkers please; space constraints as they are.

¨ Friday (10/6) Green & White Day– Dress like a Cyclone!  Hair, face, make it all green and white this day!

Friday-Parade/Pep Assembly 1:30 PM—Join us for the annual Parade of Floats in the hallways immediately followed by the Pep Assembly in the gym! Recognition for the best dressed for each day will be announced at the Pep Assembly.

***Please keep modesty in mind for all dress-up days.***

Friday evening—Battle for the Brick!  This annual event sets staff against students in a go-all-out basketball game for possession of the coveted “brick.” The game starts at 7PM.

Bonfire—Immediately following the basketball game is the bonfire!  Everyone is invited to this annual event also.  A great way to say goodbye to those floats from the Parade.

Saturday, October 7--The high school dance will be held at 7 PM in the Forum room at Cornerstone. Tickets for the dance are $15 each and are available in the office. Any Cornerstone student bringing a non-enrolled guest to the dance must complete and submit the Guest Permission Form (available now in the office) by the end of day Thursday, October 5th.
